Right now I only have some rough sketches to use for icons. I'm working on getting some finished artwork.

I picked Thistle to play around with because he's easy to throw into things. I'll organize his information better at a later point.

This journal is mostly for playing around outside of games. It's related to my other character, Bracken at Genessia.

Thistle is a character inside of the 'World', a MMORPG played by hundreds of thousands. As such, he's actually just a character created by a person in the real world to play as.
After he gets stuck inside of the game and is unable to log out, he comes to identify more with his fantasy body and life than his real life, even though he's aware that it's fictional.

Appearance

Thistle has blue eyes, long, golden hair and a petite, feminine figure. Standing only around 5'6", he's short for a man. He switches clothing often, but prefers fancy, custom-made clothing that attracts attention. He not only has connections with a tailor, but often spends time himself making the clothes he wears.
He crossdresses at times, but usually prefers to wear shorts or pants with elegant shirts. He mostly crossdresses by request and doesn't do it so much on his own.
He purposely picked his look because he wanted to attract attention. Outside of the virtual world, he feels like a plain person who isn't much to look at, and he greatly enjoys playing the part of someone who he feels is beautiful and wanted.

Vocal He has a slightly high pitched voice, but nothing out of the ordinary range. He has a tendency to talk in exaggerations for fun, and is usually rather eager or teasing in his tone.

Personality Thistle might come off as confident initially because he's very outgoing and loves flirting. Truthfully, he worries a lot about how others perceive him and keeps it bottled up. His flirting is more innocent than it likely appears most of the time. He loves dirty jokes and has no problem getting lewd, but underneath it he's mostly doing it for fun and to help boost other people's egos. It's his own way of complimenting someone. He knows that some look down on people with his sort of personality, and it can get to him more than he lets on.

He created his own lectorium (guild) specifically for gay men and is the one who found and invited just about every member. People have readily joked that he just invited everyone who he was attracted to, and the joke might not be completely false. Since he tended to actively pursue getting to know people that he thought were handsome, he did end up mostly inviting people that he thought were hot.

He's also well-known for being extremely fickle with his jobs. He likes to do everything from being a healer to a fighter, and there's very little he hasn't tried. Because he doesn't focus on one thing, he's more of a jack-of-all-trades and fills in for whatever job is needed in a party.

Despite being seemingly shallow at first glance, he really does like helping people and being involved with communities. He helps push shyer people in his life into getting involved in social gatherings. When he gets stuck inside of the game, he ends up using the wealth he accumulates to set up buildings with gear and food to help newbies. He's willing to spend a large amount of time helping people get started. Although the game is large, it's often being introduced into new countries, so there are always people to help.

Because of his personality, he often ends up attracting people for a short amount of time. After a while the other person usually moves on, thinking that Thistle isn't really serious (and he's generally not). There are only a couple of people who have retained an invested interest in him over a long period of time - one being a severely shy mage named Bracken, and the tailor he often spends a lot of time working with, Hatter. While Bracken views him in a naive and idealized way, Hatter enjoys the attention and realizes that flirting is just Thistle's way of playing. He also likes that they have a shared interest, and that Thistle often seems just as in love with his clothes.

In short, Thistle flirts and plays. He can be serious when necessary, but he strives to have fun and tease as many men as possible.

Hobbies: Thistle enjoys weaving. Part of the reason he originally joined a fantasy-style RPG rather than a sci-fi one was his love of the fashion and aesthetics.
He likes listening to scary stories. He says this is because it's a good excuse to cuddle up to someone, but he likes listening to them alone, too. He'd be a big fan of creepypastas. He's fairly easily scared.
Though it's not much of an option where he is because it's only a game, he would enjoy doing charity and participates in the closest thing there is available. It's not entirely out of selflessness. It also makes him feel good about himself, as well and gives him something to do.
He likes attending parties and events. He also likes helping to set up events by decorating. He's especially attracted to recluses and likes to try and push them to get involved, or will go sit with them and talk to them.
He flirts a massive amount, but he mostly enjoys the give and take of compliments from it. He likes making someone else feel good, and being flattered makes him feel special. He gets more reserved when he's really fallen for someone, because he becomes more afraid of rejection. This will usually be after getting to know someone and liking who they are as a person.
